Leslie Benitah is a journalist, filmmaker, and third-generation descendant of Holocaust survivors dedicated to preserving memory and combating historical denial through storytelling. Holding a PhD in Journalism from the Sorbonne, she began her career as an Executive Producer for TF1, France’s leading television network, before moving to Miami in 2006, where she later returned to documentary filmmaking and long-form storytelling.
For more than two decades, she has collaborated with international production companies, directing and producing projects centered on memory, identity, resilience, and human rights.
She is the founder of The Last Ones Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving and transmitting Holocaust survivor testimonies through film, education, and digital innovation. Through The Last Ones, Leslie has filmed more than 100 survivor testimonies across multiple continents, creating a powerful educational initiative now used in schools and institutions worldwide. The project has reached millions through social media and educational platforms, helping younger generations connect emotionally and personally with Holocaust history while combating misinformation, denial, and antisemitism.
